Where do I start? I’ve been ordering some action figures directly from US using Borderlinx/DHL for sometime now, and I didn’t even try Aramex shopandship because of the bad experience many of my friends had with them.. I left MyUS.com to be my last option.

Everything was going great with Borderlinx until two weeks ago, when I was shocked by the shipping fees of an item that I have ordered from a US supplier. The item actual cost was equivalent to 150 KWD, and guess what.. I was charged 125 KD for shipping! I referred that increase to the “volumetric weight” calculation crap and thought it was ok, this is a “one time thing”.

I ordered another action figure, with a cost equivalent to almost 60 KWD.. but this time, the shipping charges were “70 KWD” for regular shipping, and 84 KWD for express shipping!!

I decided to go through all my previous shipments and started comparing both weights and dimensions.. check the below with my findings:

Item: Iron man Mark II unleashed Armor 1/6 scale

Actual weight:	1.7 Kg
Shipped weight according to Borderlinx:	2.95 Kg
Actual item price + domestic US shipping:	212.44 USD
Borderlinx shipping – to Kuwait:	68.83 USD

This one was OK with me! So I decided to order two more Items.. check the below capture

Items: War Machine 1/6 scale + War Machine 1/6 scale special version

Actual weight:	4.2 Kg
Shipped weight according to Borderlinx:	4.92 Kg
Actual item price + domestic US shipping:	745.88 USD
Borderlinx shipping – to Kuwait:	163.08 USD

I’m still satisfied with that! Check the following.. here’s were all the crap starts

Items: Book (Node.js for PHP developers + Iron man Mark IV suit up gantry)

Actual weight:	8.16 Kg
Shipped weight according to Borderlinx:	21.21 Kg
Actual item price + domestic US shipping:	542.8 USD
Borderlinx shipping – to Kuwait:	447.39 USD

Wooh! weight difference is almost 13.05 Kg!!!! now.. check this one, now this is SILLY!

Item: Superman masterpiece 1/6 scale – Christopher reeves edition

Actual weight:	3.06 Kg
Shipped weight according to Borderlinx:	12.07 Kg
Actual item price + domestic US shipping:	224.58 USD
Borderlinx shipping – to Kuwait:	246.48 USD

WTH!!! The shipping price is actually higher than the actual item price!!

and now, ladies and Gentlemen.. here the SILLIEST one! Borderlinx created a new page comparing their services and prices with other shipment companies, claiming a 33% cheaper prices.. with a tiny note (comparison with MyUS for a 3 Kg Shipment to Kuwait).. Maybe you are cheaper in prices, but this ridiculous increase in prices.. is REALLY ridiculous! I don’t really understand how should I continue with you paying shipping charges that are HIGHER than the actual item price, and putting the blame on “Volumetric weight”!
