I went yesterday to watch “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” at 360, and as usual, I have arrived 15 minutes late because of the sweet, lovely, nice, cute, beautiful Taxi’s blocking the way to the parking lot. “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” is the new sequel of the famous “Planet of the Apes” series of movies started back in late 60′s (1968). The story is perfectly connected to the original “The Planet of the Apes” movie (1968). Lucky I have watched all “Planet of the Apes” movies, which I wouldn’t recommend watching! except for Part 1, “The Planet of the Apes – 2001″, and the new one of course.
Older “Planet of the Apes” movies:
- The Planet of the Apes (1968)
- Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
- Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)
- Conquest for the Planet of the Apes (1972)
- Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)
- The Planet of the Apes (2001)
Dr. Will Rodman (Actor James Franco) is doing experiments to find a cure for Alzheimer, and finds a temporary cure that is tested on Apes. A genetically enhanced chimpanzee (Caesar) is born, and it uses it’s intelligence to survive, turn other apes into smarter creatures, and then.. leads them to freedom! The story is scientifically acceptable as well as being committed to the original story line in the earlier movies, How? Part 1 starts with an American space ship crashing down on a planet where Apes are the superior creatures and humans are primitive. In the new movie, It shows some scenes of an American space ship launched, and is “Lost in Space” in another scene.. see the connection?
Highly realistic and amazing CG (computer graphics) will leave you stunned! The movie was perfectly shot and directed.
