HP Slate

This is the new HP tablet PC “slate” teaser which will be released later this year. 2010 will start the “tablet” hype like what happened in 08/09 when the netbook suddenly got all the attention from the manufactures and started a market-share war within the major producers. We’ve already heard about  apple’s new tablet computer coming up soon.. no specifications was announced on both.

Google Chrome for Mac

google-chrome.jpeg

Google has released a few months ago for the PC and it had a good feedback from the users for its simpliness and the crash-free experience. now its out for the Mac OSX, I’ve tried it for a couple of days and i think its pretty good for a first release. it has nothing more than normal browser, of course it’ll face a tough competition from the safari since its kinda crash-free app. I hope they do integrate more options into it so it can be differed from the other browsers.

nokia-bleed-smartphone-prints

“Oct. 15 (Bloomberg) – Nokia Oyj, the world’s biggest maker of mobile phones, had its first net loss since the company began reporting quarterly in 1996, hurt by costs related to a joint venture with  Siemens AG and weaker demand.

The net loss totaled 559 million euros ($834 million), after a profit of 1.09 billion euros a year earlier.”

Nokia also said that its smartphone market share dropped to 35% versus 41% in the previous quarter. 6% drop within the last 3 months is not normal at all.. its like 6% of the Nokia smartphones owners switched to another brand.

Nike+

Few months back I had the chance to visit R/GA, a digital media agency, to discuss some work projects. This is when I first learned about the “Nike+”, which was one of the many innovations and concepts introduced by this agency. Nike+ is simply syncing your Nike running shoe to your iPod to know the distance you actually ran, how many calories you’ve burned, and then to profile all that data to your Nikeplus.com account and compare it with other runners all around the globe.

Click here to find out what is Nike+ in detail, and how they came up with this great idea.

Today, I got my Nike+ kit, including:

Nike+ Shoe, sports kit, and the carrying case

I’ll be posting a review about my Nike+, stay tuned ppl!

External battery and a dual sim adapter for the iPhone

3-in-1-external-battery

“If you’re a high-flying type rocking two contracts and, ultimately, two SIM cards, the new 3-in-1 External Battery over at USBFever could save you a lot of hot-swapping — assuming at least one of those SIM cards is currently in an iPhone 3G or 3GS.” Engadget

good news for the iPhone users, most of the gadgets companies are concentrating on the iphone these days.

I’ve posted few months ago for a similar external battery gadget since the iPhone sucks up the battery within few hrs I’d recommend buying Mophie’s Air for iPhone 3G

Downgrade from iPhone OS 3.0 to 2.2.1

Yesterday, I tried installing OS 3.0 on my iPhone which was done successfully, but the thing is that I got that stupid “NO SIGNAL” error after using QuickPWN to JailBreak it.

I kept on searching for a way to restore back 2.2.1 and I found this video on YouTube.

 it works!

Enjoy downgrading!
