Just got my new toy :D

* Question: does Wataniya telecom. offer the micro-sim for voice/data, if yes. whats the procedure to get one and will it replace my current sim or i can use them both “closing one and runnin the other”

* i’ve sent an e-mail to the support dep. in wataniya few days ago asking the same Q above and when they finally replied all i got is this:

“Dear Valuable Customer,

Thank you for contacting us and giving us opportunity to serve you as we are more than willing to address your questions that you may have.

(We would like to ask you to visit the nearest Wataniya Branch to complete your request)

We hope the addresses your query.”

this wasn’t an automated reply but the “visit the branch” way they use to avoid answering any question really sucks.

I’m taking the challange

Some of you may remember the post I had on an iPhone app development challange. Well, it’s been decided, I’m taking it! The challange is to develop an iPhone application for a friend within 10 days… considering that:

  • This will be my first native application (and not web application)
  • I don’t know a thing about “Objective C” programming language.
  • I’m not a Mac user – yet!

Am I gonna win the challange? :\

VIVA Microsims available soon

It has been confirmed that VIVA have completed testing and branding their Microsims. Below are the pictures of the tested sims on an iPad 3G device:

It is also worth mentioning that VIVA microsims will be commercially available soon in their branches.

Question of the week – 5

Well… It’s been a while since I posted “question of the week” and I apologize for that. I had so many things to take care of beside my regular daily work – which is taking almost my whole time. So, to make it up to you my dearest readers, I’m giving you two questions instead of one :P

Question #5.1:

Why isn’t the number 11 pronounced Onety One?

Question #5.2:

A good friend of mine offered me a Mac, a Developer license, and the freedom to make any application I want… in return of making an iPhone application for him too. Well, the thing is that I have no clue about “Objective C” programming language – an extension of “C” language- used for iPhone, iPad, and Mac apps development. The challenge is to make an iPhone application from scratch within 10 days, without any prior knowledge of Mac OS or iPhone & iPad SDK.

Shall I take the challange?
